Drive system — the one model with 4WD
The L200 is the only Mitsubishi sold new in Bangladesh that publishes four-wheel drive. Its Easy Select system switches between 2H for sealed roads, 4H for loose surfaces and 4L for low-speed, high-torque work, with a 2.4-litre turbo diesel and a 75-litre tank. The other four are 2WD. That does not make them unsuitable for a Cox’s Bazar run or the road to Bandarban — most of those journeys are on sealed roads — but if you regularly leave the tarmac with a load, the L200 is the published answer.
Drive modes — the Destinator’s five surfaces
The Destinator is 2WD but publishes five selectable drive modes — Normal, Wet, Gravel, Tarmac and Mud — which Mitsubishi Motors Bangladesh describes as adjusting throttle and stability control for each surface, working with Active Yaw Control. Ground clearance — compare on the same condition
Published figures: Destinator 244 mm without under cover / 214 mm with; Outlander Sport 222 mm without under cover; Xpander 220 mm on 17-inch wheels; Eclipse Cross 180 mm; L200 not stated. The Xpander page is the one that states its clearance is for handling rough or flooded roads with confidence — that is Mitsubishi Motors Bangladesh’s own description. None of the pages publish a wading depth, and ground clearance is not one; do not drive into standing water on the strength of a clearance figure.
Fuel tank — and why range is not stated
Tank capacities are published: Eclipse Cross 63 L, L200 75 L, Destinator 45 L, Xpander 45 L (plus a 40 L LPG tank on the Eco variant), Outlander Sport 42 L. Fuel consumption is not published for any model, so this guide does not give a range. Figures like “9 km/L” seen on other sites are from other markets or estimates and are not from Mitsubishi Motors Bangladesh. For long trips, plan refuelling by tank size and your own measured consumption after the first few hundred kilometres.
Seats and luggage for a family trip
Two 7-seaters: the Xpander publishes 781 L of boot space with the third row up and 1,608 L folded; the Destinator publishes a flexible 7-seat layout with 52 storage points but no litre figure. The Eclipse Cross is a 5-seater with a panoramic sunroof; the Outlander Sport page does not state seating.
