1. Set the total budget, not just the car price
A brand-new car in Bangladesh costs more than its quoted price. Budget for four things: the vehicle itself, BRTA registration, the first year’s insurance, and the first year’s fuel and servicing. 2. Body type and seats — the decision that filters everything else
How many people you carry regularly is the single biggest filter. Mitsubishi Motors Bangladesh currently publishes:

3. Engine and gearbox — read the specification, not the adjective

Motor insurance is required. Third-party cover is the legal minimum; comprehensive cover adds own-damage, theft and often roadside assistance. Premiums depend on the vehicle’s value and engine capacity and are set by the insurer — get quotes from more than one company and compare what is excluded, not just the premium.
8. Running costs — servicing, parts and fuel
Plan for periodic servicing from day one.
